Senior QA Engineer
Full-timeThe Senior QA Engineer owns quality across every Qoray product. Qoray builds mobility products across web, mobile and backend services, and the Senior QA Engineer is the dedicated QA engineer responsible for making sure each release works, performs and is safe to ship. The role covers the full QA lifecycle: test planning, manual and exploratory testing, smoke, regression, end-to-end, API, mobile and non-functional testing, defect management and release sign-off. The role also champions and builds Qoray's automated QA system, so repeatable checks run in CI and the team gets fast, trustworthy feedback. It is the step up for an experienced tester who wants to own the whole quality function, not one slice of it.
Key Requirements
- •3 to 5 years in software QA, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing
- •Strong understanding of the SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum and the defect lifecycle
- •Practical experience with smoke, sanity, functional, regression, integration, API and end-to-end testing
- •Skilled at test design techniques and writing clear, reusable test cases and test plans
- •Experience testing both web and mobile apps (Android and iOS), including on real devices
- •At least 2 years writing automated tests in TypeScript or JavaScript with a modern framework (Playwright, Cypress or WebdriverIO), running in CI
- •Solid API testing with Postman or similar: auth flows, validation, error cases and schema checks
- •Working SQL to verify data in PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB
- •Comfortable with debugging tools: browser DevTools, network proxies (Charles or Proxyman), device logs (adb, Xcode)
- •Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira plus TestRail, Qase, Zephyr or Xray)
- •Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines and Docker
- •Able to manage QA across several projects at once and prioritise by risk
- •Sharp attention to detail and clear written communication; you write bug reports developers fix on the first read
- •Ownership mindset: you've pushed for a quality improvement without being asked
